Welcome to One Car Garage, in which I choose a manufacturer or class of vehicle, and you
decide/choose a single vehicle (no matter how old, no matter how exclusive) to live with for the
rest of your life. This is your only vehicle, and all expenses are paid for, including price of entry,
insurance, gas, etc.
This time we'll do a brand named after a man called Adam, his last name was Opel but I guess you've figured that bit out already. Opel was founded in 1862 as a company who made sewing machines in a shed (a cowshed in fact), this escalated rather fast so he bought some bigger premises and started selling Penny-farthings.. Anywho, in or about the year 1899 Opel started making cars,
I could go on about that but let's just say that GM bought a huge part of the company in 1929.. Oh... yeah.. Opel was the first german car maker to massproduce cars on an assembly line.
Yeah, enough about that. Opel was now part of GM, an you could see vauxhalls branded as Opels, Opels branded as Cadillacs, some even say that there was a brand over in some far country on the other side of the world that sold stuff that looked almost like some of the cars Opel made (or the other way around). I've also heard rumours about something called Buick that essentially was rebadged Opels (at the end at least)
ANYWHO. Time to choose a car, and this won't be easy for me. I've owned more than one Opel, like the Kadett C City.
But I can't pick that one, as a DD it just won't do it. No, I think I'll choose something even older, the Kapitän A, with the 4.6 V8 please.
So, what would YOU pick?
PS: I decided to do a more "text heavy" post this time, some ramblings about the manufacturer. Would you like me to keep doing that? Or should I just write "pick a model from , I'd have this "

Opel Manta 400. Preferably in Group B trim. Easiest OCG ever. All other answers are wrong.

The only thing I can think of from Opel that I'd want in stock form is the Speedster Turbo
If modifications are allowed though then I'd want a GT with a rotary out of the RX8 transplanted under the hood somehow.

No contest:
I'm single, with no kids and no intention to ever have any. I also don't buy a ton of groceries at one time or transport large objects very often. So...yeah, no argument can dissuade me from this choice, lol.

I'm only familiar with the Kadett and the GT so I'd have to go with a GT.

Ascona 400 for me!
I like the longer text, it adds a bit of depth and the post feels more solid. So if you don't mind the extra work, please continue!

I got it, but it seems like it was a bit in the grey department (along with my initial comment).
Kinja cocking up is a regular thing.. We have to find a way around it somehow..

Not sure if the family would approve but that had to be an Astra Xtreme, a one-off based on the DTM-racer of the time, featuring a 444 hp V8:

This was a tough one, even though I'm not a huge fan of the brand. I thought about the 78'Senator with the 3.0 engine, but I'd rather take this:
Zafira A OPC.

I want this: The Opel Speedster, I don't think they sold them outside of Europe. It's based afaik on the Lotus elise and it's imo one of the best looking cars opel has ever built.

My favorite Opel wasn't technically an Opel. It's a Manta TE 2800, built by a company called Transeurop Engineering, which was never recognized by Opel.

Music is randomly different throughout. Segments are shortened or removed. Things are censored.
Season 8, is there even a Ewan McGregor interview? If there is what is the first question Jeremy asks?
You really should just download them from finalgear. You won't get a virus or malware. Get uTorrent to handle the torrent files. You'll feel like you're watching an entirely new show.
Also, BBCA/Netflix do not have the first few seasons. Season 1 in particular is fun to watch, if only to see how far they have improved.

Never knew that existed. It's like they grafted a 65-67 Chevy II front end on to a first-generation Monaro body. That is a nice looking car, and with a 327 small-block and a 4-speed it's the perfect basis for a little hot rod.
